LBT Set Rhino Sun

Dear LBT developers,

I am wondering if there is any component or workflow in LBT by now to do what Set Rhino Sun was doing in the legacy version, so we can use Sunpath to visualize shadows in Rhino.

Thank you.

All the best,
Farhang

We haven’t added that component to LBT Ladybug (ladybug has been behind honeybee in terms of supporting all Legacy features). This one shouldn’t take too long to reimplement and I opened an issue for it:

I’ll see if I can get to it later this week.

@chris, just to plan for a Friday tutorial, I was wondering if by any chance the team finds time to implement SetRhinoSun this week?

Of course, no pressure, just asking.

All the best,
Farhang

@farhang.tahmasebi ,

Sorry for the late response and I wasn’t sure if I could get to this during this week. I just added a LBT Ladybug component to set the Rhino Sun:

You should be able to get it with the LB Versioner within an hour.

Hi,

in which mode do you have your rhino canvas? shaded, render,…to see the block shade?

In the settings for the display mode you want to use (for example shaded), you need to to change the Lighting method to scene lighting, and tick Shadows On option. See below.
