Little question of imageWidth and height for image-based simulation

Recently I am confused of the imageWidth and height for image-based simulation. The pixel of output image is not equal to the setting in Grasshooper. After tried several times, I found the pixel of output image is 50% of the setting in Grasshooper.

Here is a demo for this.

Welcome to discuss this topic. Correct me if i’m wrong.

If I’m not mistaken we do run the first rendering with twice as size and then use pfilt to resize the image to half for a better quality. This is one of those recommended settings in Radiance for better image quality. Is it possible that we forget to double the size and just use pfilt?

I am sure that pfilt used 50% size for rendering. But I am not sure to check the setting of first rendering.
