Load Balance - program has no ventilation but shows mech ventilation load

Hi all,

I modeled a simple 14-story building (0 ventilation, apartment program) and ran the OSM simulation.

However, the Thermal Load Balance chart appears to include “Mechanical Ventilation” loads.
Can someone help explain what the cause is, or maybe I missed some settings?

I think it may be because by default it sets an Ideal Loads that has some mechanical ventilation. You would have to try to export the .idf file and open it in the Idf Editor, look at the Ideal Load class.

Hey @tutu7931 ,

I’m not sure what you mean by the Highrise Apartment having no ventilation. The screenshot pretty clearly shows that there is 0.35 ACH of ventilation for that program and that is what you are seeing in the load balance there.

My bad, I guess I have to manually removed that then, or set the zone without condition.

(At first I thought [0 m3/s-person] [0 m3/s-m2] already gave me no mechanical ventilation.)
