Hi all,
I am willing to create a electric lightsource (bulb) to understand how a light source will act in a lamp shade. I have been looking at tutorials on how to incorporate Luminaire in Grasshopper through Honeybee > 02 Daylight > Light Source > IES Luminaire. However I am missing the that section when installed Honeybee.
You are referring to legacy components here but your screenshot is of LBT components. We don’t yet have support for ies luminaires in the LBT plugin so you should install the legacy version of you need them.
Thanks! That worked I thought that the legacy components were not working for Rhino 7 as it is not stated so on the downloads but they are working so far!
It is true that the Legacy plugin is not fully functional in Rhino 7 but the Radiance simulation capabilities still work. It’s really just the Ladybug components that rely on Rhino’s native intersection methods that are broken when using Legacy in Rhino 7.
In honesty, I do not know. I can’t think of anything off the top of my head that would cause it to not work but you would have to test it.
What we really should do is just add luminaire components to LBT Grasshopper so you don’t have to keep using legacy. Luminaires seem like the last feature that many people are holding onto their legacy version for. Hopefully, we can check this one off sometime this year.
