As a general rule, unless you are constructing your paths dynamically or something like that, you will be much better off just using Grasshopper’s built in ‘Path’ component, and then simply selecting the file you want through the normal dialog windows (right click on the Path component, and select “Select one existing file”:

I had never seen the Select one existing file option, I had always thought one had to provide the path in a panel as I’d seen in other posts. Nice!
The difference is that the path as reflected in the Termial when dragging a file there is a file with all the spaces escaped as one would expect in a terminal command or shell script, whereas the Select one existing file provides the raw unescaped path.
