Make solar envelope output solid

Hi, since the last time I used the solar envelope component the output has changes from brep to mesh, which makes it hard to make the geometry solid for 3D print etc.

Does anyone have a solution for extruding the output mesh down to the base geometry to make it a solid?

And out of couriosity, why has it been changes for the worse in the later versions??

You can use this workflow to get a brep surface out of the mesh:
