Mechanical ventilation for night cooling with HB Fan ventilation component

Hi everyone !

I want to simulate a night cooling with mechanical ventilation with HB fan ventilation component.

On the pictures below there is the annual temperature of a zone without and with mechanical ventilation night cooling.

So the night cooling is operational !

Here is my problem, I want to check the ventilation density volume flow rate of the night cooling but when I check the output “Zone Mechanical Ventilation Standard Density Volume Flow Rate”, I don’t have the night cooling but only the ventilation air flow from the component HB ventilation (so the day ventilation) (see picture below)

I also checked the output “Fan Air Mass Flow Rate” but I have this :

So it is not what I want. Where can I find the Volume flow rate of the mechanical night cooling ?

Hi @Geo

I don’t believe that HB-Energy outputs that information by default, but you can certainly add that Output-Variable and then read it using the ‘HB Read Custom Result’ component. So something like:

as the Fan component tooltip says, it is not part of the mech system, and so you won’t see its effect in ‘Zone Mechanical Ventilation’, but rather in the ‘Zone Ventilation’, I believe.
