One of our energy modelers reviewed the idf files generated by Honeybee/OS and noticed a few issues. I’ve copied her comments into several posts, 1 per item.
#1 Monthly Design Day Files
In buildings with lot of southern exposure, it becomes critical to use monthly design day files in sizing the HVAC equipment. The monthly design components are part of the .ddy files and available through energyplus website.

Is there a way to automatically include these part of the regular sizing objects? The ddy input to the HB SimPar component doesn’t appear to allow for monthly design day files. Is there a way?
