No electrical lighting load reported by "Annual Loads" component (v1.1.0) despite "program" showing lighting schedule and LPD

Hello,

I have a simple energy model and worklfow (attached) to explore the “Annual Loads” component.

Regardless of the program that i specify, the electrical lighting load reported by “Annual Loads” component is zero. Same for equipment.

This is odd given that the program includes a lighting schedule and a lighting power density.

This is also an odd outcome because the “balance” output, when plotted, shows “Electric Equipment” being taken into account.

FYI i am using version 1.1.0 so maybe this is a bug or will not be an issue with the newer version but i just want to figure out what is going on.

I am assuming i should get a number > 0 for the electrical lighting load output.

(Just saw the 1.2.0 release which looks very exciting2021 03 15 Simple Model Annual Loads.gh (68.1 KB) )

Appreciate any guidance / clarification, and .gh file attached.

I am almost positive it is because you have installed an incompatible version of OpenStudio. They changed the names of all the EnergyPlus outputs between OpenStudio 3.0 and 3.1, which results in none of the lighting or equipment loads being loaded. To fix the issue, you can either:

  1. Upgrade to LBT version 1.2.0 that we just released on Food4Rhino on Friday
  2. Downgrade your OpenStduio to version 3.0.1

Also, for future reference, always check the compatibility matrix before installing:

Yes indeed, i have OpenStudio 3.1 so update to LBT 1.2.0 fixed it.

Looks like i need to be more mindful of the matrix.

Many thanks for the quick reply.
