Operative temperature shows higher during winter months

hello everyone,
I’m trying to get the operative temperature graph of an area in abu dhabi by running the HB Run energy simulation. It does not make sense that the temperature is higher during the winter months (sep-dec). It’s as if the graph is reversed. I’ll appreciate any help on this.
I attached a picture of the graph thank you!

Hi basant,

I think what you’re seeing there could is the impact of low angle sun in the winter. At a guess your space has south facing glazing, and so more solar is being transmitted in winter as the sun hitting your glazing at a flatter angle (trigonometry between sun angle and glazing).

This solar is being absorbed by the glass and internal surfaces of your space elevating them above air temperature - so the MRT is higher than air temp, giving an operative temp higher than air temp.

Hope that helps!

Thank you so much charlie! it now makes sense; it is on the south. Appreciate it.
