Hello friends
For simulating trans materials, for example catalog rollers, the optical properties are different from honeybee inputs for making trans materials. Of course, I guess these differences are related to the science of the this field; But is there a way to convert these properties in catalogs into honeybee inputs? I would be grateful if anyone could help.
It looks like you have enough properties there to make a good Trans material for the shade across the whole solar spectrum. You would have to make some assumptions about whether the solar energy is transmitted diffusely or specularly (I don’t know what these shades look like). But you have the reflectance and transmittance there, which are the critical things.
However, you don’t have enough properties to make a visible representation of the shade. At a minimum, you will need the visible reflectance for this.

Thanks Chris.
Do you have a reference that mathematical relations have the last three factors?
specular reflection + diffuse transmission + specular transmission
Supposedly with have one factor, could calculate the rest
thanks in advance
