Rainfall Data on Sunpath Diagram

Hello all!

I’m trying to generate a sunpath diagram that also displays rainfall or precipitation data, and I’m wondering if anyone has a good method for that?

The closest thing I’ve been able to find is to just plug the barometric pressure data into the sunpath component, but I’m not sure if that’s a proper or accurate way to indicate the months/times with heavy rain. Can anyone weigh in on the validity of this approach?

I’ve also come across Rafael’s awesome rainfall component, but it didn’t seem like I could just plug that into the sunpath component.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I’m wondering if maybe I need to venture outside ladybug and integrate components from dragonfly (or one of the other insects from lbt) with the sunpath component?

I hope everyone is having a good week so far!

The rainfall data within TMY EPW files is notoriously inaccurate. If you want to understand the times of the year where there is the potential for rainfall, the Relative Humidity is probably a better indicator than the Barometric Pressure.
