Rhino Plugins 1.57.2 fails to install LB-HB-IB

Hi all,
@MingboPeng @chris

I hope you are pretty well.

I tried to update my LB to the latest version. I carefully uninstall Pollination with a careful registry cleaning and history and component removal from Rhino library.

When I tried to install Rhino Plugins 1.57.2, the installation wizard finished completely but no plugins of LB-HB-IB where installed.

The previous version that I had, 1.54.16, is working with components appearing in the grasshopper.

Could you kindly let me know what I should do?

Thanks very much in advance for your time and support.

Sincerely,
Behnam

Hey @behnammmohseni
We recently have an update to fully support the Rhino 8 with .Net 8 runtime.

Can you please confirm what .Net version you are using in Rhino 8? You can use SetDotNetRuntime command to get this information.

Once you have the .Net version, can you please follow the steps below to find the path where Ladybug.RH.Loader is located?

Here in my case, I am using the .Net 8 and the Ladybug.RH.Loader is loaded from the “net8.0-windows” folder.

If they don’t match, please go the folder: “C:\ProgramData\McNeel\Rhinoceros\packages\8.0\LadybugTools”, and find the version folder (1.38.263 is the version that I installed, you may have a different one). You should be able to see three .Net versions, and select the one that matches what you have in Rhino 8, and manually drag the “Ladybug.RH.Loader.rhp” file to Rhino 8. This will override the previous incorrect version in Rhino 8.

Hopefully this will address your issue, and please keep us updated.

Hey @MingboPeng

Thank you for your message

Here is my setup config:

For the PluginManager:

However, Pollination with the version of 1.57.2 is installed on my system.

Thanks very much for your time and assistance.

Ok, I think you are using a very old version of Rhino 8 SR1, and in the newer version, they restructured their plugin folder. That might be the reason that the older Rhino 8 doesn’t load the plugins from the new plugin folder structure.

Could you please update the Rhino 8? and it should be able to load the plugin fine.

Fantastic, yes, Previously, I had the first version of Rhino 8.
I did an update to the latest Rhino 8 SR17 and install the latest version of Pollination (1.57.2) and now the Pollination is working completely.
Thanks very much for your time, support, and assistance.
