Hi, I am trying to run an energy simulation for a specific time period ( 9am to 5pm) for whole year. But I think even after setting the time period it runs for the whole year. Its not considering LB Analysis period time line. Is there a bug?

I’m pretty sure it is not allowed to just select a range of hours. Being E+ a dynamic hourly simulation, each hour affect the next one and is affected by the previous.
You can just filter the desired hours after the simulation.

Thanks @AbrahamYezioro . I think you are right. I am looki g for a measure to give results for that hours in execel. Existing measures gives results for whole 8760 hrs

The run_period input for EnergyPlus simulation only uses the dates (Months and Days) and not the times (Hours). It’s just the nature of transient simulation that you cannot accurately know the conditions of the next timestep without knowing the conditions of the previous timestep. So EnergyPlus doesn’t support running for just a part of the day.
