When running the simulation in envi-met, why not skip this step?
Hi @yuha,
This is part of the initialization fase of the numerical calculation. It is memory and CPU consuming.
If you check the task manager you should see that it is running.
Best,
Antonello
When I check the task manager, it is running, but it says’No response’.
No change after 24 hours.
What should I do in this case?
Hi @yuha,
It is a problem of Envimet GUI because of its execution on the main thread. But it is running, after this heavy fase of initialization it will be Ok again.
There is an option to avoid this “freeze” effect: by using this advance settings here
I have added it to DF-Legacy: “DFenvimetThreadSettings”.
There are many reasons that can make your simulation slow on a common machine:
- Grid size
- Complexity (number of elements): trees, buildings and so on
- Boundary condition: E.g. wind speed less than 1.5 m/s…
Best,
Antonello
Thank you @AntonelloDiNunzio
The simulation is complete. But it takes too long.
How can I add DF-Legacy: “DFenvimetThreadSettings”?
Is there a way to use it without adding it?
