Hello everyone,
I’m having trouble setting up PCM (Phase Change Materials) in Honeybee and could use some help.
- I tried adding PCM by using a regular material plus the add_str method, but the simulation results are exactly the same as without PCM at all. I already switched the heat balance algorithm to Conduction Transfer Function (CTF) and made sure it’s working.
- I also gave the Chameleon PCM plugin a shot, but it just won’t recognize when I attach it to an opaque construction. I think it’s a version compatibility problem—I’m on Ladybug Tools 1.9.0.
Does anyone know why my PCM simulation isn’t working? Thanks a lot!
