SketchUp to Rhino Import for Honeybee/Ladybug Analysis

#1

Hi,
I want to ask in importing SketchUp to Rhino for HoneyBee/LadyBug analysis, what factors should I consider in SkethUp modeling and also in importing the files? For example, is having groups or components in SketchUp okay? I mean these kinds of things that I should make sure that I consider them in SketchUp modeling, and importing.
Thanks,
Helia

Hi@htaheri
You can import SketchUp model to Rhino using trimmed surface or mesh. Group or compotens will convert to mesh group in Rhino. So you can do sunhour /radiation/daylighting analysis using meshes.

You can follow this discussion

Or my example shared on Hydrashare website
