Spatial heatmap returning some areas solid, some "mosaic"

doing a peak irradiance study on windows, and suddenly running into some unreliable results. I’m taking one measurement as a benchmark without any covering (roof or louver) to later measure with louver and compare results, but the simulation without any covering is returning this. I think the overall W/m2 is realistic, but I’d really like to know why the heatmap looks this way before moving forward. For some context, when running this same geometry through with coverings enabled the heatmap appears to work as expected.

I have a couple suggestions:

  1. Remove the 0 value from the offset in HB Sensor Grid From Apertures
  2. Check the normals using HB Visualize Normals and Vector Display

Hope this helps

normals are pointing outward from the building and changing the offset value from zero/removing the number float doesn’t seem to give a different result. Thank you for your suggestions though

Is this what you are looking for? With the w/m2 information?

If you’re looking for this, what I use is LB Incident Radiation, with LB Cummulative Sky Matrix
