The workflow problem by using mesh model in new Ladybug&Honeybee

I want to know how can I start a radiance or an energy simulation by using SU model. There were a component named HB_Mesh2Rad in old Ladybugtools. So I can transfer SU model easily. But when I using Ladybugtools 1.4,

the HB Add Subfaces components easily turn wrong because of the problem “1. The following sub-faces were not matched with any parent Face:”.I guess the problem is like this https://discourse.ladybug.tools/t/daylight-simulation-hb-aperture-hb-add-subface/14239/2.So could you please tell me how can I start a radiance or an energy simulation by using SU model?
Best wishes!

What is a “SU model?” Super User Model?

If you want to assign sub-faces like that, I recommend starting form Brep geometry instead of meshes.

My su model means sketchup model :grinning:In my country ,we always call SketchUp as SU.I tried to import SketchUp model into Rhino as breps. But it can’t avoid that problem.

I can’t convert my window built in SketchUp to ladybug tools directly. So I want to know is there any ways to convert it directly rather than rebuilt it in Rhino or Grasshopper

Have you used the Pollination Rhino Plugin at all? We’ve built a lot of interoperability features into it along with a lot of workflows for rebuilding/cleaning geometry from other platforms. I know that one of the workflows that people have had success with is building a sketchup model with the OpenStudio Sketchup plugin and then importing the OSM with the Pollination Rhino plugin.

We’re also actually working on some Pollination features that will integrate directly with SketchUp but they’re still in development and not ready to test yet. I’ll keep you in mind if you want to test them when they are ready.
