Unexpected Daylighting Results (Skylights and Windows)

Here’s my issue. I’m trying to manually create a skylight in addition to some ‘ratio created windows.’ When I go about making those windows I get LESS daylight autonomy when I have the windows on the wall then when I have no windows and only a skylight. Can someone let me know what I’m doing wrong here?

And to make things even more confusing the top right image is the result from the bottom left grasshopper snip (and vice versa for the other one).

The way you are defining the geometry is creating 2 zones instead of 1.
You should connect the following way:

Then you can check if the results make sense. You can see in the image that they do.
