Weird daylight autonomy results on simple floor shape with core and perimeter zones

Hi,

Having defined a HB Straight Skeleton zoning to split a floor plate into Core and 4 Perimeter zones, I have applied a fenestration pattern to evaluate window size, shading depth etc.

While thermal simulation work and seem to assess transmitted solar gains correctly, the daylight simulations Daylight Autonomy / sDA does not seem to return credible results for the east and west zones / elevations.

I am showing the example of an UNshaded scenario, where DA close to 0 for the E and W elevations are unrealistic.

Any idea on why that may be?

EDIT: I am attaching a hbjson dump of the model
2518__HB_Model.hbjson (935.2 KB)

Thanks,
Andrea

Hi @andrea.botti,

Are you able to share the model here or in a private message?

Thanks @mikkel , I just uploaded a hbjson dump of the model

Thank you, @andrea.botti.

The model is very far from origin (0, 0, 0), which can cause issues in Radiance. Try to move the model closer to origin either before you create it or use the HB Move component before connecting the model to the recipe.
