My Model
I run HB Model to OSM to find out the cooling load for a small part of building. In the model I add secondary facade like this with cavity depth between the exterior wall (different design but the same concept).
There is no cover in the upper and lower, so I guess the natural ventilation could flow freely. The location is in hot arid climate, with building face south.
My Situation
In this simulation, to find out the reason behind cooling load result, I’m looking for opaque and window conduction in the exterior side since I compare the result of the base model without additional secondary facade and the one after adding a secondary facade. The cooling load result shown appropriate result in decrease the number after add the secondary facade. However, the results for opaque and window conduction are quite strange because they emerge higher number rather than the base model in summer but consistently lower in the winter period (red is the base model, black is the result after add secondary facade)
I have been trying looking for the forum but unfortunately I couldn’t find the solution.
It was too messy to upload the GH and Rhino files, but if necessary, I’m so happy to send the file through email.
Could anyone help me find out why this happened? If it was normal, could they explain to me why it happened?
