Window problems) Aperture can only be added to Faces with a Outdoor boundary condition

Hello, everyone

I’m currently analyzing the daylight performance of an apartment, but I’m encountering issues with the window settings. The solution to the problem is as follows:

  1. Solution exception: Aperture can only be added to Faces with a Outdoor boundary condition.

The same model is used on all floors of the apartment, but the error only occurs on certain floors while it does not occur on others.

I’ve tried various methods, but the issue remains unresolved.
Could you please share any potential solutions to this problem?

Thank you very much.

It looks like you’re trying to add a window to an underground wall, which is not allowed. Have you tried checking what the boundary conditions of your rooms are using with the Visualize by BC component?

Maybe you need to move your Room volume above the Rhino origin in order to have it set to Outdoors instead of Ground by default.
