Window ventilation +AFN (Generic Contaminant)

Hi @mostapha, @chris and All

I am trying to simulate PM2.5 as a generic contaminant. I have added PM2.5 alongside CO₂ using additional strings, and also included moisture in the same way. I have set up window ventilation using AFN.

The intended window opening schedule is for natural ventilation:

Summer (May–Sep) and winter (Oct–Apr):

  • Day (9am–9pm). Windows open to 25% whenever Tin > 23 °C, and close whenever Tout > Tin
  • Night (9pm–9am). Windows remain closed

I have resolved all errors and the simulation runs, but it seems the window ventilation is not operating properly. In the IDF, it appears that ventilation is not being controlled by temperature as expected. In addition, the PM2.5 results remain constant through the middle of the year.

Any guidance would be very much appreciated. Kindly find attached the file

Hi @Amany.khalil,

I know @chris has shared several similar examples for others to get AFN to work. Have you seen any of those?
