Honeybee and Honeybee Legacy

Hello,

I am using honeybee green roof model and trying to use all the inputs of EnergyPlus Material: Roof Vegetation.

Group – Surface Construction Elements: Input Output Reference — EnergyPlus 8.9

I am using the latest version of Honeybee and HB Vegetation Material. But sadly there ist some important data missing, that I cannot specify in the Material, e.g. Moisture Diffusion Calculation Method.

There are very useful tips using this in Honeybee Legacy, just plugging the Data from the Material: Roof Vergetation into EP Construction and off we go.

So I simply used the old Honeybee Legacy EPConstruction and plugged it into the ne Honeybee HB Exterior Construction. No errors, just a slightly higher EUI - probably resulting from the different parameters.

Am I missing something? Is it feasible to use HB Legacy and the latest Honeybee in one simulation?

I couldn’t figure out, why using legacy and hb in one script, but I felt, that it was a bit risky. So I found a solution to my problem here:

Hi all, Hope you are doing great. I would like to ask how I can add additional parameters in the Vegetation Material node in HB for green roofs. In the HB Legacy, there is a notepad version of parameters which contain additional parameters. However, in the newer version of HB, the parameters are limited as shown.
