Perforated metal screen shades - sun hours and daylight analysis with HB+

Hi ,
We have a commercial building facade with metal screens as shades. Please refer to image below -

I want to do solar radiation analysis on the glazing behind and an interior daylight analysis (with honeybee) to optimize the amount of screens as a value engineering exercise.

There are ~200 screens over the facade. I am being wary of inputting complex geometry in the components from rhino. Will it be a problem at this scale? Is there a way I can perforate the material with the new HB+ components? What could be the most efficient way of handling this amount of geometry for such studies?
I came across https://discourse.ladybug.tools/t/honeybee-perforated-screen-material/9175 but my understanding is I will have to revert to legacy version to implement it. Is there a way I can do it with the current version?

Thanks in advance!
