Radiance modifier from spectral data

Hi all,

In order to map correct material data, I’m searching for a plugin that converts a measured spectrum (transmittance, front and back reflectance) of a material into a RADIANCE material modifier to connect with “HB face” or “HB aperture”.

I have made a small sketch of this idea:

It has (currently 3 inputs):

  • the path to the csv file containing the wavelenght, the transmittance, front and back reflectance
  • an integer to select between visual, energetic or melanopic investigations
  • a type of either opaque or transparent material
  • perhaps also the thickness

And it has the radiance modifier as output or a list of radiance modifiers to select.

Inside the code should first check, that the input data are of full spectrum range and the wavelength steps are all within a defined length.

I already did a small search but only saw that post LB Radiance Modifiers library that leads to radiance modifier of opaque materials (metal or plastic type).

Is there already something like that existing?

Kind regards

Hi @minggangyin, thats the same link as AbrahamYezioro suggested in the link I posted above.

Unfortunately, I can only find material data for “void plastic” materials in this cool database. I would like to get the same for transparent materials like “void trans”. I would have the spectral measurements for this.
